Monday Madness

I just discovered that I have been calling Mondays, Maniac Monday.  When I first thought of the blogging idea, I named Mondays to be Monday Madness.  I just found my piece of paper with that, so here it is!  MONDAY MADNESS

Right now I'm sitting in my dad's kitchen and he thought it would be a great idea to clean the stove.  WRONG.  It is so HOT in the house and it is probably still 90 something outside.  MEN...what are they thinking sometimes.

To top off the hot house, Paige has a fever of 102.  Poor girl, she has no chance of cooling down with a stove being cleaned!  I hope she gets to feeling better because I don't want to take work off tomorrow.  The reason why is because she will act and play just fine tomorrow but have a temp.  ANNOYING!  But I have to get her better before vacation next week!

Tonight I packed Paige for vacation so that is one less thing I have to worry about.  Seems like every night I'm busy so I had to take advantage of some packing tonight!

On a side note, I completed the Warrior Dash on Saturday.  It was so fun and I would do it all over again.  I hope they come back to Iowa next year.  I will post pictures once they get developed.  Yes, I did say developed!  Abby brought 2 disposable cameras with us so we could capture our run.  She is always thinking.

Sorry this is a quick post but wanted to make sure everyone knew I was still alive!  Have good night!

Wacky Wednesday

I would had blogged last night but yesterday was Tasty Tuesday and I didn't have a recipe available to share...or maybe I was too lazy to!  Sorry :)

We are prepping for the Lake of the Ozarks and Lindsey and I are busy planning our meals and making "LISTS" for what we need.  Vacation can't come soon enough.  Last night we helped Lindsey and Joey do some things with the baby room.  I knew it...Lindsey is starting to stress because she doesn't have any clothes.  Therefore, she can't organize any drawers in the baby's room.  So I was smart and suggested we make labels on paper and pretend we are organized!  It worked and made her feel a little better.  I told her she should had found out the sex of the baby!

Monday night was a maniac night and I didn't blog, as you can see!

We were driving to Target to get Bryon his 30th Birthday cards.  We get into the parking lot and I hear Paige crying.  I look back to her and see this....

I tried to get the comb out while we were in the parking lot but no such luck.  After 10 minutes I gave up and we proceeded into Target looking like this...

I sure did get lots of stares - maybe we should had went to Wal-Mart.  We would had fit in better!

I worked on her hair for about half hour when we got home...

Finally my sister had a great idea to get pliers and break the teeth off.  So we did that and Paige cried because I was breaking her comb!  I can never make that girl happy.  Maybe I should had left the comb in her hair?!

Tonight was going to be low keyed.  We ate supper and then Paige got balloons stuck in the ceiling fan.  Well it turned out, the ceiling fan needed dusted because dust balls were flying everywhere.  Thanks Paige for the incident because the balloons caused me to get in a cleaning mood for about 2 hours!  Now the house smells fresh and feels good :)  We did have one incident though.  I was mopping and just got done telling Paige to stay in the bedroom because the floor was going to be wet.  Well she got excited and ran out of the room and fell on the floor.  She looked like she was sliding head first into home plate!  Of course she cried but with a little TLC and an ice pack, she was all better!

Tonight I also got Paige registered for Vacation Bible School and a shelter reserved for Lindsey's baby shower.  I feel very productive tonight!  Well off to give Paige a bath!  Good night all and see ya later!

Trending Thursday

RED...WHITE...BLUE...is trending this week!

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  Bryon, Paige, and I spent our 4th doing the following below...

Kiddie Parade on July 3rd

Paige and Izzy lining up for the Kiddie Parade

Paige and her friends

Should I mention Paige only rode her bike for maybe 10 steps and then cried because she couldn't do it!  Good thing Kirk Metz was following in the gator.  He picked us up!

I told Paige to smile for a picture and she automatically posed like this.  I must take too many pictures of her!  She sure does look cute on that 4 wheeler though :)

Highway Signing Vollers...what can I say????  We did good?  NOPE we did horrible!  But by the looks of the picture, one would think that we won the tournament.  Our "A" game was not there on the 4th.  But there is next year for us!  Can you tell I'm competitive and was not thrilled about losing our first 2 games?  Besides the competitiveness, we had a great time.

Previous posts may have shown Paige and Blakely in matching outfits...I LOVE dressing them alike!  I may be bias because Paige is my daughter and Blakely is my niece but they sure did look cute for the parade on the 4th.

Paige was trying to give cousin B a kiss

Paige picked out the bags for the candy.  We took them empty and brought both home filled with candy.  When I got home from work tonight I took the candy and hid it because Paige will eat it all day long if I would let her!

The photo below is my favorite!

I hope everyone else had a great 4th of July.
